📋 What we collect

Only what you type into the app: period dates, symptoms, moods, notes, and your settings. No name, email, phone number, address or location is requested or collected.

🚫 What we never do

We never sell or share sensitive menstrual or health information. There are no public profiles, no messaging, and no social features. Your cycle data is never used for ad targeting.

📢 Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Ads are configured for a general audience and treated as under the age of consent, which means non-personalised ad serving and no advertising identifier collection. Your health information is never sent to advertisers.

🔐 Data storage and encryption

All data is stored locally on your device using Android's encrypted storage (Keystore-backed). There is no cloud sync, no remote database, and no server-side storage. When you uninstall Flowly, all stored data is permanently removed.

🔔 Notifications

Flowly schedules local reminders on your device using Android's AlarmManager. Notifications are discreet by default — no health details appear on your lock screen unless you explicitly enable detailed notifications. Notification chimes and reminder timing are stored as settings on your device only.

🛡️ App lock and biometrics

If you enable the app lock, your PIN is stored as a one-way hash on your device. Biometric authentication (fingerprint or face) is processed entirely by your device's secure hardware. Neither your PIN nor biometric data ever leaves your phone.

📤 Data export

You can export a full copy of your data at any time from Settings. The export creates a readable JSON file that you control. Anyone who opens the file can read it, so store it somewhere private.

🗑️ Your controls

You can:

• Export a full copy of your data at any time
• Delete your cycle history while keeping settings
• Permanently erase everything from Settings
• Uninstall the app to remove all stored data completely

👨‍👩‍👧 Children and teens

This app is written for teenagers. If you are under the age required in your country, please use Flowly with a parent or guardian's agreement. AdMob ads are configured with TAG_FOR_UNDER_AGE_OF_CONSENT_TRUE and MAX_AD_CONTENT_RATING_G to ensure age-appropriate ad content.

🌍 Third-party services

Google AdMob — Serves ads in the free version. Ads are non-personalised and no advertising identifier is collected. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

No other third-party services, analytics SDKs, or tracking tools are used.

📱 Permissions used

• Notifications — to show cycle reminders you opt in to
• Biometrics — for optional fingerprint or face unlock
• Receive boot completed — to re-schedule reminders after device restart
• Alarm & exact alarm — to schedule reminders at your chosen time

No internet permission is used for data transfer. Network access is only for ad serving via AdMob.
